Joey has worked with Discovery Behavioral Health since June 2018. Joey started out as a behavioral technician at Cliffside Malibu, then was quickly promoted to BT supervisor at Cliffside’s sister facility Authentic Recovery Center (now Casa Palmera Los Angeles). Immediately after joining the DBH family and working in substance use treatment, Joey fell in love with being able to help others. Eventually he made his way back to Malibu moving into his current role of overseeing referral relations and care coordination. During this time, Joey was able to get certified as a drug and alcohol counselor and is currently working on his bachelor’s degree in psychology. Joey continues to enjoy being on the front lines in helping others change their lives for the better.
